New Matilda says goodbye (but we might be back)

C Vale new matilda omment website New Matilda today prepared to say goodbye to its readers as it reached its final day of online publication.

The site’s editor Marni Cordell announced a month ago that the because of faltering finances, New Matilda would stop publishing new material from today.

She said today that attempts to save the site had been unsuccessful although it might return in another format in the future.

The site also published a cartoon today featuring a sad Julia Gillard saying goodbye.
