PR agency New Romans has hired Latitude Financial Service’s Frederika Walls as the head of its New Zealand business.

The announcement:

New Romans has today announced experienced PR professional Frederika Walls as the head of its New Zealand business.

Walls joins from Latitude Financial Services where she has worked for the last seven years as head of communications.

Previously she worked in-house at Sealord and GE, coupled with a successful tenure in PR consultancy.

Managing partner of New Romans Anthony Spargo said Walls is the perfect person to be leading the businesses NZ operations.

“Freddie is an outstanding PR and comms practitioner with global experience and vast knowledge and understanding of the NZ market.

“I have worked with Freddie previously at both GE and Latitude and her understanding of NZ and the ever-changing needs of the clients, plus her ability to stay ahead of the curb on both consumer PR and corporate communications is a huge competitive advantage for New Romans as we build our NZ practice.”

Spargo said New Romans has always had clients in New Zealand, but with Walls now joining the team, would look to broaden their client base and grow in the market.

“Our focus is always on senior people delivering the best communications and content services for our clients. Our growth over the last 24-months in Australia and into Asia has been enormous and we want to continue that growth into NZ in 2024. Freddie knows the NZ environment well and we look forward to delivering the highest level best in class services we have become known for.”

Walls said she is looking forward to working closely with the New Romans’ team and driving the business in the New Zealand market.

“I am thrilled to be on this journey with the New Romans’ team. Drawing on my background in corporate communications, gained through roles both in-house and agency, I am keen to drive the growth and success of the business in New Zealand.”
