News Corp Australia extends media partnership with Women Sport Australia

Women Sport Australia (WSA) has named News Corp Australia as its national media partner in a two-year agreement that extends the existing relationship.

On top of the publisher’s association with the Women in Sport Photo Action Awards, News Corp Australia will now cover WSA’s advocacy initiatives and programs.

With the aim of increasing WSA’s visibility, News Corp Australia’s managing director News Sport Network, Michael Wilkins, said the partnership is another step in the publisher’s commitment to support the communities around women’s sports.

“As WSA’s national media partner, it means we can better support WSA in their important work advocating for and prosecuting the arguments women’s sport needs – from grass roots community sports right through to our global champions,” Wilkins said.

WSA commercial director Helena Dorczak added: “Women Sport Australia has had a great working relationship with News Corp Australia for several years through #WISPAA and we are really delighted to extend the partnership to Women Sport Australia more broadly.

“With so much fantastic momentum around women’s sport following the FIFA Women’s World Cup, having News Corp Australia as a national media partner will help amplify our advocacy work and help us reach a broader audience.”
