News Corp updates the form guide for a digital generation
News Corp has launched a major wagering platform as it looks to bring the form guide into the digital age.
Led by managing director Adam Brett, ‘Inform’ services both the racing and sports wagering industry, as well as the punters who look to the internet for betting tips, content, and updates.
It gathers together the media giant’s various wagering properties — Punters, Racenet, The Greyhound Recorder, and Odds — which previously sat under the ‘News Perform’ umbrella, and launches two new products into the market.
The client-facing Inform Connect is an audience intelligence platform designed to “simplify racing data management, content delivery, trading operations and marketing strategies” by integrating these functions into a single product, according to a media release.
Inform Connect “empowers clients to employ advanced data analytics and AI tools to enhance their racebook performance and engage more effectively with racing and other sports fans”.
Inform Media is the public-facing, content production arm of Inform, providing analysis, tips, and a series of wagering-themed podcasts that use News Corp’s related brands Racenet, Punters, AFL Today, and Cricket Today.
Brett explains in the media release that “sport and racing are key pillars across News Corp”.
He said: “InForm represents not only our latest evolution but is in direct response to what clients have told us they need most.”
Inform has sales partnerships, content sponsorships, and provides data insights and analysis for industry brands.
It will also feed insights and commentary into News Corp brands, such as the Herald Sun, and its sports platforms Code Sports, and SuperCoach.
