Hodges: Back to the world of technology

Hodges joined News Corp in May last year with a brief to help the company explore new technological initiatives with advertisers. He initially reported in to national sales director Sharb Farjami, who departed the company earlier this year.

Hodges told Mumbrella that he had chosen to leave because he missed working with startups, and would be reviving his emerging technology consultancy Blonde3.

He has previously worked at major agencies including head of innovation and technology at Mediacom and creative director of Clemenger Proximity.

Hodges told Mumbrella: “I intend to have a quiet January then go back to consulting.

“I’ve had a fantastic time at News Corp, and will be leaving a team that has great momentum – evident in the numbers, the culture, and the consistently innovative work.

“Going media owner side was a brilliant experience, but I am looking forward to getting back to my consulting business and its mix of startup, media, and agency clients.”

His last day with News Corp is today.
