News Corp’s Shannon Molloy to join Amazon as content editor

News Corp digital reporter and producer Shannon Molloy has resigned to join Amazon Australia, in the role of content editor.

Molloy has been with News Corp for four years, working in various roles including national entertainment reporter, and national TV writer.

Beyond News Corp he has worked across a variety of publications including TV Week and Australian Property Investor Magazine.

He joins Amazon’s Australian office next month.

Commenting on his appointment, Molloy told Mumbrella: “I’m very excited to be joining such an iconic organisation.”

The news comes a month after Rocco Braeuniger was announced as manager of Amazon Australia’s retail operations.

It also comes at the same time as other key appointments for the local arm.

According to LinkedIn, Amazon has appointed Amazon Spain’s former head of books as head of media, while former Foxtel digital media manager Kate Marshall has joined Amazon australia as senior marketing manager, associate and partnerships.

Currently, Amazon is pitching its Australian creative account.
