Nine audience falls below one million

The Nine Network’s poor start to the 2011 TV ratings season got worse on Tuesday night when not a single show from the broadcaster rated more than 1m.

While there have been a number of recent occasions where Nine News has been the only program to deliver metro ratings above 1m, last night it rated 994,000, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam.

Last week, the only Nine shows to rate above 1m were Nine News, 60 Minutes, Underbelly Files and one episode of Two And A Half Men which has just seen its current series cancelled in the US.

Seven continued its dominance of the Tuesday schedule with Packed To The Rafters winning the night with 1.748m. My Kitchen Rules rated a strong 1.595m.
