Nine beats Seven in Monday ratings
Nine returned to the top spot in Monday ratings led by Two and a Half Men, with Seven’s cooking show My Kitchen failing to continue its ratings lead from a week ago.
Two and a Half Men was the most-watched show with almost 1.4 million viewers, compared to My Kitchen Rules (MKR) with 1.2 million, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data for the metropolitan markets.
This was compared to the previous Monday when MKR was the most-watched show with 1.5 million.
Nine also had a win in the 8:30pm timeslot, with The Mentalist coming in as the third most watched program with 1.3 million, ahead of Seven’s Desperate Housewives which failed to reach the one million mark. This was below the 1.1 million the US show managed last Monday.
Ten’s Good News Week narrowly missed the top ten list, last night featuring Prime Minster Kevin Rudd who has been recently criticised for his poor TV performances on Seven’s Sunrise and the ABC’s Q&A.
Meanwhile, Nine’s nightly coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympics, Vancouver Gold, brought in 833,00o viewers, falling just below Seven’s Brothers and Sisters with 848,000.
Among the digital channels, Seven’s 7Two took the lead with a 4.4 per cent share, which was up from 1.6 per cent on Sunday. Nine’s Go followed with 2.4 and then Ten’s One with 0.5 per cent.
