Nine dominates Tuesday television with The Block and Hamish & Andy’s True Story

Nine has dominated Tuesday night television with an overall audience share of 22.8%.

In the competitive 7:30pm timeslot, Nine’s The Block pulled in 1.067m metro viewers and was the most-watched program of the evening, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

The home renovation series improved from last Tuesday night’s 1.005m metro viewers and was the most-watched program across key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Competing against The Block was Seven’s Hell’s Kitchen which slumped to 527,000 viewers from last week’s 632,000.

Meanwhile Ten’s Shark Tank grabbed 464,000 metro viewers at the same time.

Seven came in second place for the evening with a 16.1% share in front of Ten’s 12.3%, ABC’s 11.8% and SBS’ 5.6%.

In the 8:30pm timeslot Nine’s True Story with Hamish & Andy was the second-most-watched entertainment show of the evening with 904,000 metro viewers.

Ten’s NCIS, which aired at the same time, managed 420,000 metro viewers.
