Nine News and MAFS drive Nine to its eighth TV ratings week win
Another ratings week has gone to Nine, with Nine News and Married at First Sight helping drive the broadcaster to a 30.5% audience share as a network and secure it an eighth win for 2020.
Nine’s primary channel held a 20.9% audience share and 9Gem was the most-watched multi-channel with 4.6%.
Nine News Sunday was the most-watched program of the week overall in metro viewers, bringing in 1.378m metro viewers, followed by Married at First Sight with 1.323m tuning in for the final dinner party on Wednesday. Seven News took third and fourth, followed by Nine News in fifth.
Married at First Sight also dominated the key advertising demographics – taking several top spots for the week in the 25-54s and 16-39s.
Seven took second place for the week overall, securing a network audience share of 24.4%, followed by Ten with 17.0%. As a channel, Seven held 17.1% and Ten 11.2%.
Nine won six nights of the week, only dropping Friday night to Seven. For the year to date, Nine holds a 29.7% share, above Seven’s 25.7% and Ten’s 17.4%. ABC holds 19.0% and SBS 8.2%.
