Nine goes for scaled down upfronts ahead of IPO

LogoWith the float of its parent company Nine Entertainment imminent, Channel Nine is understood to be planning a smaller scale upfronts to showcase its lineup in 2014.

Instead of the usual large scale showcase, the company is understood to be favouring smaller private briefings for media buyers and the media in late November, given the company will be in its pre-IPO period which is expected to occur in early December.

Seven and SBS have already had their upfronts while Ten and the ABC will have theirs in the coming weeks. 

Nine declined to comment on the briefings but invitations to the briefings are tipped to be sent shortly.
