Nine signs Mazda as new sponsor for Ninja Warrior

Japanese carmaker Mazda is to sponsor Nine’s popular franchise show Ninja Warrior as it enters its second series.

Meanwhile, existing sponsors KFC and Berocca have renewed their deals for the second season. Both will have branding throughout the program, with the latter renewing its ownership of the “performance of the night” replay in the show and online.

Mazda will work in partnership with the show’s competitors, who will feature in a number of television commercials that will play during Ninja Warriors on Sunday evening.

In addition, the University of Adelaide will act as sponsor at the local level, while Alinta Energy will sponsor airings in Perth and Brisbane

“Australian Ninja Warrior was the breakout television hit of 2017 and it will once again be a powerhouse franchise for Nine in 2018,” said Michael Stephenson, chief sales officer at Nine.

The show features a range of competitors who take on one of the most difficult obstacle courses in the world.

Hosted by Rebecca Maddern, Ben Fordham and Freddie Flintoff, the second series will premier at 7pm on Nine and 9Now.
