Nine wins Monday night with help of Married at First Sight and Travel Guides

Nine’s Married at First Sight once again delivered Nine strong numbers – 1.325m amongst the five metro cities and more than 700,000 in both the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics – Travel Guides’ dominance among the later programs also helped Nine finish with a 24.7% share for Monday night.

But Travel Guides attracted 673,000 metro viewers at 9pm, ahead of Ten’s Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Seven’s The Resident, OzTam’s overnight preliminary metro ratings show.

Seven’s 21.1% share can be attributed to the efforts of My Kitchen Rules, which averaged 1.074m.

Last night also saw the premiere of The Resident on Seven, which was promoted heavily on the back of the runaway success of The Good Doctor and starts Revenge’s Emily VanCamp. The episode had 576,000, according to the metro figures.

Ten’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here finished with a metro audience of 579,000. Overall, Ten’s share was 11.7%.

On the ABC, Australian Story achieved 608,000 metro viewers, while Four Corners managed 563,000. ABC’s Media Watch attracted 552,000.

The Monday night slate put the channel ahead of Ten, at 13.4%. SBS’ share was 4.3%.

The 6pm news battle saw Seven nab another win off Nine, with metro audiences of 985,00 and 936,000 respectively. At 7pm, ABC News managed 757,000.

Ten’s alternative news program The Project at 7pm attracted 629,000.

The multi channels were dominated by ABC2, with Go Jetters attracting the biggest audience, at 192,000.
