Nine wins third official ratings week of the year
Nine has won the third week of OzTAM’s official TV ratings season, taking out a primary channel share of 22.3% and a network share of 29.7%.
Rival Seven had 18.1% and a network share of 26.3%, while Ten had 11.7% and 18.0%.
ABC’s network share for the week was just ahead of Ten’s, with 18.1% and SBS had a 7.9% share.
The highest rating show of the week was Nine’s Married At First Sight which hit a season high last Sunday 23 February, with 1.2m overnight metro viewers.
MAFS’ other episodes across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday dominated the list of most-watched programs, and also won the key advertising demographics of those aged 16 to 39, 18 to 49 and 25 to 54.
Seven had success throughout the week with its news offering often topping the ratings ladder in the absence of Married At First Sight.
This week also saw the premiere of Seven’s Pooch Perfect which reached an overnight metro audience of 624,000.
Nine also won the second week of the ratings year as well as week one.
On a network basis, it leads the official ratings year on 29.5%, ahead of Seven’s 26.7%. The ABC is just ahead of Ten’s 17.7% with 17.9%, and SBS is at 8.3%.
