Nine wins Wednesday night TV, but Masterchef tops key demos
Nine has won Wednesday night’s television ratings with an overall audience share of 17.2%, just beating rival network Seven.
According to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings, Seven came behind Nine with 17.1%, above Ten’s 14.6%, ABC’s 13.2% and SBS’ 4.9% share.
The most-watched non-news program for the evening was Ten’s flagship cooking program Masterchef, which attracted 860,000 viewers and was the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54).
Competing against Masterchef at 7:30pm was Seven’s House Rules which managed 732,000 viewers and Nine’s Young Sheldon, which saw 590,000 metro viewers tune in.
The most-watched program for the evening was Seven News at 6pm which attracted an audience of 1.061m compared to Nine News’ 977,000.
