Nine’s network sports sales director resigns
Nine’s network sports sales director, Mark Hinshelwood, has resigned with his role to be taken up by Melbourne sales director, Ian Paterson.
Peter Wiltshire, director of sales and marketing said Hinshelwood would be leaving for “personal reasons”.
“Mark is returning to Melbourne and unfortunately it is imperative that the leader of our sports sales department, an area so critical for Nine, operates out of the Sydney head office,” Wiltshire said.
Hinshelwood has previously worked across both the Melbourne and Sydney markets for more than eight years. He has spent the last three and a half years as network sports sales director.
Paterson will move into the same role with the new title of head of sports sales.
Hinshelwood’s last day with the network will be July 31.
A search for Paterson’s replacement in Melbourne is underway.
Well done on your time in the role Hinch! Some of the best integrated and cross platform campaigns done in the market. No doubt we’ll see more great stuff from you out of Melbourne.
Good luck back in Melbourne with the family.

Hi Tim
T’was an Interesting interview with Mike Jones.
However I do not know who was on sound for that shoot but they should have dealt with the overbearing echo.
I am sound engineer amongst other things.
I was surprised that issue was not addressed given your stunning presentations thus far!
Dr mumbo jumbo continues to be an enlightening experience and I anticipate more lumps of bubbly babble and nifty natter.
Love and fun happy ones
