Nine’s Sam Brennan replaces Matt Scriven as Melbourne sales director

Nine’s director of sales – sport, Sam Brennan has been appointed as Melbourne’s director of sales, replacing Matt Scriven.

The appointment comes a week after Scriven was promoted to managing director of Nine Melbourne, replacing Ian Paterson, who shifted to the newly created role of director, commercial partnership and affiliates.

Brennan’s appointment is the latest in a series of shuffles

Brennan has held the role of director of sport sales for the past five years, and has focused on Nine’s NRL, cricket and netball properties.

He has also previously held roles including Melbourne sales manager for network sport, and sales executive at Nine, as well as group business manager at Seven.

In his new role, Brennan will report to Richard Hunwick, Nine’s director of sales – television.

Brennan said he was looking forward to leading the Melbourne team.

“It is a unique market with fantastic clients and I’m excited about the opportunity to work with our great team and continue to deliver strong results for our Melbourne-based clients.”

Brennan’s replacement is yet to be announced.
