Ninja Warrior dominates Tuesday night TV giving Nine an easy win
Nine’s average audience share was well ahead of its competitors on Tuesday night, with Ninja Warrior helping the channel to a 27.5% share, nearly 13 points ahead of its closest competitor, Seven.
OzTAM’s overnight preliminary ratings reported Seven’s share as 14.8%, Ten’s at 14.2%, ABC’s share was 9.7% and SBS’ share was 5.4%.
Nine’s Ninja Warrior was a major contributor to the share win with 1.470m metro viewers, making it the most watched program of the night.
The show topped the key advertising demographics- the 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s, for the third time since it began on Sunday.
It beat Ten’s Masterchef, which had 779,000 metro viewers and ranked second across the key advertising demographics.
It was down on last week’s metro audience of 879,000.
Seven’s Behave Yourself, which ran in the same time slot reached 434,000 metro viewers.
At 8:30pm, ABC’s Diana: Seven days that shook the world, reached an audience of 599,000.
Ten’s Shark Tank achieved 581,000 metro viewers while Seven’s Yummy Mummies managed a metro audience of 354,000 in the later time slot.
Nine had the most watched news bulletin of the night at 1.081m viewers ahead of Seven’s 1.053m.
