NRL kicks off 2021 season highlighting players that ‘defy impossible’

As the 2021 NRL season prepares to kick off the league is celebrating the ability and physicality of its players.

The ‘Defy Impossible’ campaign highlights key moments from the game, building tension as the frame freezes during a pivotal moment of gameplay sequence and explaining the near-impossible scenarios the players find themselves in.

The campaign reflects the NRL introducing new rules that will make the game faster and less predictable, increasing the likelihood of moments that defy the impossible.

The campaign is the first work from Galore since it joined the NRL’s roster of agencies.

The four TVCs will be supported by out-of-home, print, radio, digital and social.

“I’m hugely impressed with the hunger the NRL has to continually push the game forward, both on and off the pitch,” said Galore founder Tim Kirby.

“Through 2020 and now into 2021 they have led the way in sports entertainment, so Defy Impossible feels like a very natural place for them to play.”
