NSW invests $440,000 in development

The NSW Government will use $440,000 in funding for 12 screen organisations in Sydney and regional NSW.

The beneficiaries are the Australian International Documentary Conference ($13,000), Sydney International Animation Festival ($4,000), Women in Film & Television NSW ($8,000), Information & Cultural Exchange ($60,000), Australian Directors Guild ($25,000), Australian Guild of Screen Composers ($5,000), Metro Screen ($200,000), SPAA Conference and Fringe ($60,000), Northern Rivers Screenworks ($25,000) and X Media Lab ($15,000).

NSW Minister for the Arts Virginia Judge explained that this funding will “provide additional training, bring local and international experts to NSW for workshops and seminars, and provide industry mentorships.”

Judge made the announcement at the launch of the AFI Sydney Screenings, which she said would also be supported by the state, with a special industry development initiative grant of $20,000.
