Nunn Media appoints Admatic’s Matt Crook as head of strategic development
Nunn Media, Australia’s largest independent media agency, has appointed Matt Crook to the newly created role of head of strategic development, making him the agency’s most senior hire to date.
Crook was most recently national CEO and managing partner at Admatic. In his new role, he will oversee strategy, data, technology, activation and digital.
Before Admatic, Crook was chief strategy office and CEO of performance and data at the Dentsu Aegis Network for more than six years.Previously, he was managing director of Emitch.
“Matt’s leadership and expertise will be invaluable at a time where clients are facing challenges across media, data, technology and digital,” said Nunn Media founder and director, Matthew Nunn.
“He joins, in this new role, at a pivotal time as we continue to grow and secure new business across sectors. I welcome him to the team.”
The Melbourne based-agency, with annual billings of $275m, also promoted Sarah Thom to head of client service and growth after she joined in August last year as head of commercial. She will take charge of commercial, client services and global independent media agency network, Local Planet. Previously, she was general manager at Mindshare Melbourne, and has also held senior roles at Vizeum and Mitchell & Partners.
“In a short space of time Sarah has demonstrated her ability to drive the business forward and work with our clients to help them achieve their objectives,” Nunn said.
“She undoubtedly has the skills needed to help us reach our goal of being a $500m media agency by 2022 and I’m delighted we have been able to look from within to make this appointment.”
The appointments follow Nunn Media winning accounts for JB HiFi, 13 CABS, American Tourister, Mecca, Hard Yakka, King Gee, Sargon, and Smile Direct Club.
Potentially a good time to get out of Admatic if the rumours are true…

Another male, pale and stale !
Get the point Mumbrella? Too scared to call out the industry for what it is?
Why don’t you address all these white anglo/aussie males getting jobs at the top?
Pussies.

For me when Matea and Jonesy left that was the end of Admatic. The were the heart and soul of the business.

That may be somewhat true (I don’t think so nor you being a client) but when Jonsey and Matea were there running Sydney, Admatic also lost their two biggest clients and had enormous staff turnover. Two sides to every coin. Needs to be pointed out that with the new leadership Admatic Sydney has won more new business in 6 months than the previous 18 months.
