Ogilvy Impact appoints joint MDs Mike Beckerleg and Lorie Helliwell

Ogilvy Public Relations has appointed joint managing directors to its employee engagement and communication arm, Ogilvy Impact.

Mike Beckerleg and Lorie Helliwell replace Tam Sandeman, who have returned to the UK after eight years with the group.

Beckerleg has 25 years experience on both the client and agency sides working with Sony, Vodafone and Seiko.

In early February he was hired as Ogilvy PR’s group director.

Helliwell’s  experience in employee communications was at organisations such as BT, Telewest, and SAB Miller company Trinity Procurement.

Keiran Moore, CEO of Ogilvy Public Relations Australia, said: “With more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, Helliwell is renowned for great change and employee campaigns and, together with Mike’s significant insights across the marketing spectrum, will drive the success of Ogilvy Impact in today’s competitive market. Our new joint managing directors will make a powerful and formidable team and will continue to steer Ogilvy Impact competitively forward delivering award winning work for our clients.”

Moore added: “Tam leaves Ogilvy Impact in tremendous shape and the new team will work in tandem with her to ensure a smooth transition period for both clients and staff.”

Moore was promoted in December 2010 to CEO.
