OgilvyOne continues to expand with new strategists

OgilvyOne Sydney has hired two strategists, Melissa Warren and Andrew Braithwaite.

The announcement:

OgilvyOne Sydney has further bolstered its planning credentials, adding two strategists to its established team as a result of new business wins and increased client demand.

Melissa Warren joins the agency as Senior Strategic Planner, and Andrew Braithwaite as Strategic Planner, with both appointments effective immediately. The duo has a breadth of planning skills across a range of industries, and bring strong local and international experience.

OgilvyOne Sydney’s Head of Strategy Jason Hill said Warren and Braithwaite were the latest recruits to an expanding team at the agency, with both demonstrating “a blend of skills that are highly in demand by our clients”.

“These appointments reflect OgilvyOne’s commitment to customer engagement and the role planning plays in driving more valuable outcomes for our clients,” he said. “While new business wins have been a driver in bringing them on board, growing demand for strategic marketing input from our existing clients has also played a part in our recent growth. Our expanding team has resulted in OgilvyOne being more able than ever to marry business needs to creative solutions.”

Warren is a highly experienced planner with more than 14 years in the industry, most recently with Iris in the UK where she led planning on Barclaycard. She brings deep CRM experience, a crucial skill for OgilvyOne as it continues to deliver in customer engagement.

Braithwaite joins OgilvyOne from fellow STW Group agency Lawrence Creative, where he worked on leading brands such as Qantas and The Minerals Council of Australia. He brings a combination of brand and digital understanding to the team.

“Melissa brings a breadth of CRM experience across multiple industries including financial services and retail. Her understanding of marrying consumer insights to customer touch-points to build strong and mutually rewarding relationships is critical to the continued growth of OgilvyOne,” continued Hill.

“Further, Andrew’s balance of big brand campaign development and digital planning has seen him solve big problems for some of Australia’s biggest brands and businesses. This experience means he understands the impact of B2B communications – a critical skill given the amount of work we do for clients such as IBM.”

OgilvyOne is part of Ogilvy Australia and STW, Australasia’s leading marketing content and communications group.
