OgilvyOne general manager Nick Muncaster has been appointed to the newly-created position of general manager at JWT Melbourne, Mumbrella can reveal.

Reporting to JWT Melbourne managing director Michael Godwin, Muncaster joins the agency after nearly two-and-a-half years with OgilvyOne and will act as key lead on the recently-won RACV account.

On the appointment Godwin said: “We’re thrilled to have someone of Nick’s calibre, talent, energy and enthusiasm join our senior ranks.

“Not only will he make a brilliant senior partner for our new RACV client, but will also play an important role in the stewardship of the agency as we look to build on what has been a very positive year for us.”

Muncaster will also be responsible for ongoing talent management, financial performance, new business generation and delivering creative solutions across JWT Melbourne’s client portfolio.

He said: “JWT is a global and local network that I have always admired. It has great people, excellent clients and a concentrated focus on the importance of brilliant work to achieve real business results, something which has always been part of my career DNA. It’s an incredible opportunity to be part of the JWT team and I’m excited about where we will be taking the agency”.

Prior to OgilvyOne, Muncaster was the managing partner of Ogilvy, a role he held for nearly six years.

On the move, Ogilvy Australia CEO David Fox said: “Nick was highly regarded and respected at Ogilvy. It’s testament to the power of the WPP / STW network that we can continue to build the careers of our best young talent by providing cross company opportunities such as this whilst keeping them within the family.”

OgilvyOne is in the process of finding a replacement for Muncaster.

JWT Melbourne clients include La Trobe University, Vegemite, Shell, Radio Rentals SA and Beyondblue.
