Omnicom’s Annalect beefs up Australian leadership

Ominicom’s marketing data and technology company Annalect has beefed up its senior team locally with four new hires.

WPP’s programmatic platform Xaxis has seen its head of data and operations Adam Krass move to Annalect to take up the role of head of technology.

Krass was with Xaxis for three years and before that worked with eBay.

On his new role, Krass said: “Technology and data have the promise of making marketing easier and more effective, but the reality can be something painfully different.

“It is a complex landscape and I believe the Annalect heritage and its positioning as a global leader in digital data & technology puts us in a unique place to help clients navigate it, make sense of it and benefit from the opportunity.”

Core Logic data scientist Daniela Elia has been named as head of marketing science while  Accenture team lead Nagendra Jayaram has joined as head of reporting and Omincom’s system manager Anthony Tomasello has been appointed as head of ad operations.

Elia said: “Annalect is one of the most innovative players in the market today. Joining the company is an exciting opportunity to break new ground in marketing and media. We are on the pinnacle of a data revolution.”

The team joins Martin Orliac, general manager Annalect Australia, who has led the company’s entry into the Australian market which came in response to the agency’s success in the US, including their role in Omnicom’s P&G and AT&T wins last year and the creation of the media agency Hearts & Science.

Hearts & Science is yet to launch in Asia Pacific. Its founder Scott Hagedorn, who was previously boss of Annelect, will open Mumbrella360 next month.
