Creative and strategy boost: Chaudhuri and May

PR agency One Green Bean has bolstered its creative chops, taking strategist Sarah May from rival Ogilvy PR and promoting Pia Chaudhuri to the role of creative director.

Chaudhuri’s promotion from associate creative director is to support executive creative director and founder Kat Thomas who currently splits her time between Sydney and the agency’s fledgling London office.

May’s last role was as strategy and planning manager at Ogilvy PR, while she has also held previous roles at experiential agencies Urban and Play.

The agency, which works with Commonwealth Bank, Sony Playstation, Woolworth and Meat & Livestock Australia, also recently picked up accounts for Bang & Olufsen and Amazon’s audio book unit Audible.

Chaudhuri said: “In my last two years at OGB, I’ve watched the agency grow not just in size but in creative and strategic muscle. Increasingly, clients want ideas that enhance people’s lives (and feeds), not interrupt them. As creative director, I am proud to be surrounded by some of the brightest minds in the industry to create ideas that people want to talk about.”

May added: “I’m really excited about joining One Green Bean. There’s a real energy and purpose about the Beans, and some interesting projects on the horizon.”

CEO Carl Ratcliff added: “Pia’s promotion to creative director reflects her great pedigree as well as a blooming talent with regards to teaching and inspiring creativity in the entire team. Meanwhile, Sarah brings an incisive, problem-solving bias into our agency.

“She is an excellent addition to a strategic team that is already one of the smartest I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside. We are looking forward to the year ahead.”
