Optus offers eligible customers additional data for April in response to coronavirus

Optus is offering customers additional data, as businesses and some schools transition to working remotely as a precaution against COVID-19 (coronavirus).

Optus CEO designate, Kelly Bayer Rosmarin, said that data was critical in this “unprecedented time”.

Optus will be assisting those working remotely with additional data offers

“These are unprecedented times, and we want to help Australians who find themselves having to self-isolate or work from home to stay connected,” Bayer Rosmarin said.

“We understand how much it means to customers to stay connected with their colleagues, classmates, family and friends. Access to data is critical, so we are playing our part in helping the community with our additional data offer.”

Eligible postpaid mobile customers will be offered a one-off add-on of 20GB of data during April 2020. Eligible prepaid customers that recharge with $40 or more during April will receive 10GB of extra data.

Further information about the offers will become available on the My Optus app on Friday 20 March. Data offers will be activated through the app.
