Optus Sport reveals mid-season discount for Valentine’s Day campaign

Optus Sport has launched its ‘Fall in love with football campaign’ ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The campaign sees  Valentine’s day content delivered across the Optus Sport platform and social channels, as well as a discounted mid-season football pass if fans sign up for a six-month subscription.

Optus Sport usually costs $14.99 a month, but until the end of February the football-focused sports streaming service is available for $68 on a six-month plan.

The pass will give football fans access to the second half of the Premier League season, plus the final rounds of the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and the delayed UEFA Euro 2020 national tournament.

There’ll also be plenty of Valentine’s Day-themed videos across the Optus Sport platform over the coming weekend, in the lead up to Saturday night’s top four English Premier League clash between Leicester City and Liverpool.

The campaign creative was produced by Optus Sport’s production and editorial team.

Optus Sport head of TV & content, Corin Dimopoulos, said the team was able to get creative and remind football fans not to forget about their significant other this weekend.

“We all know that our one true love is football, but this can often get a lot of fans in trouble this time of the year.

“We just wanted to remind fans not to forget about their significant other this Valentine’s weekend, which might give them a little extra time watching their favourite teams,” he said.

“It’s also a great opportunity to show our Premier League stars in different light, with both players and coaches donning their best date night outfits for our match and social media graphics and on-air promos.”

Saturday night’s big game will see the Optus Sport studio decked out in Valentine’s Day theme, with Richard Bayliss and the Countdown to Kick-Off team set to be looking good in their rose ceremony outfits.

Dimopoulous added: “We’ve got a huge six months of football coming up, and the Optus Sport Mid-Season Pass gives football fans the option to the watch world’s biggest football competitions, and of course test out the Optus Sport platform.”
