Orchard partners with Tourism Tasmania

The Tasmanian Government’s destination marketing agency, Tourism Tasmania, has appointed digital agency Orchard as its digital transformation agency of record, following a competitive pitch.

Selected for both its strategic thinking and technical experience, Orchard will lead Tourism Tasmania’s digital transformation and strengthen its digital capabilities by enhancing the tourism destinations’ innovative, personalised and data-driven digital experiences.

Tourism Tasmania is a State Authority that is focused on tourism brand management. It aims to create demand for travel to the state by connecting travellers emotionally and culturally to Tasmania.

Wai Kwok, CEO of Orchard said: “We always strive to create connected experiences for our clients and their customers and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to do this with Tourism Tasmania. We can’t wait to develop innovative and personalised experiences to connect across digital touchpoints, delivering the right message, to the right people, at the right time.”

Emma Terry, chief marketing officer at Tourism Tasmania added: “We are very excited to have appointed Orchard as our marketing technology partner to deliver our digital transformation vision.” Orchard demonstrated throughout the pitch process their strong understanding of delivering customer centric technology solutions and we have the absolute confidence that we have secured the best possible marketing technology partner. The proposed solution strongly aligned with our requirements and provides significant value as we embark on our digital transformation vision to life.”

Orchard has signed an initial three-year contract period with the first phase of work to launch in June 2022.

Orchard’ parent company, ASX-listed Enero Group Limited last week released a trading update for the six months ended 31 December 2021, highlighting an FY22 H1 net revenue growth of 15.1%, to $93.2 million and operating EBITDA growth of 23.3% to $29.9 million.

The latest financial results for the Enero Group were primarily driven by strong performances across its portfolio in the US, UK, and Australia, which includes creative agency BMF; digital agency Orchard; brand, marketing, and communications consultancy Hotwire; programmatic and marketing platform OBMedia; issues management and communications advisory CPR; and strategic consultancies The Leading Edge and The Digital Edge.
