The announcement:

Australia’s online gay radio station, OX Live, has built a studio within Sydney’s premier gay and lesbian nightspot, Stonewall Hotel.

The studio is the only publicly accessible radio facility in Sydney, and will see DJs simulcast live on-air while rocking the packed dance floor on Friday and Saturday nights.

As an official Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras media partner OX Live is hosting the Mardi Gras DJ Spin-Off competition, allowing up-and-coming DJs to compete for their own set at a Mardi Gras event in 2014. Every Thursday at 3pm Mardi Gras Live show provides the latest information on the upcoming 2014 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. On the 1st March 2014, OX Live will also be hosting the official Mardi Gras top 100 gay hits countdown, warming audiences up for the parade that evening.

OX Live’s celebrity interviews and special events are also being held from the top floor studio at 175 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst.

“Over the last 15 years we have constantly evolved and improved our offering to ensure Stonewall is welcoming and entertaining for both local and international visitors,” says Stonewall manager Glenn Hansen.

“Having Sydney’s gay radio station based within the hotel will further enhance the Stonewall experience.”

“Stonewall is a Sydney institution and extremely popular with our audience,” says OX Live founder Brooklyn Ross. “We can’t wait to see our listeners in person at Stonewall!”
