Inception Digital acquires digital and print sales for fashion and pop culture magazine doingbird

Screen Shot 2015-12-16 at 8.56.55 AMSales house Inception Digital   has acquired the digital and print sales for fashion and pop culture magazine doingbird, following their acquisition of pop culture magazine Oyster in April 2014. 

doing birdThe move will see the two titles work closer together, with doingbird’s Max Doyle and Malcolm Watt, will guest-edit the May edition of Oyster.

Inception Digital will relaunch the bi-annual Oyster in May as a quarterly title, also rebranding its digital platform at the same time.

Inception Digital’s managing director Jade Harley said in a statement: “Both Oyster and doingbird have recognition and audiences on a global scale which add to our already impressive portfolio of publishers and platforms. The scale of our network means that now, more so than ever before, Inception Digital is the number one destination for brands looking to engage with influential audiences and leaders of the pack.”

Inception Digital works with the likes of Mashable, AOL, The New Daily and Student Edge.

In August, Inception Digital commercial director Guy Burbidge told Mumbrella publishers “get better solutions out of smaller sales houses” as compared with their larger rivals.
