Oz films to screen in India
Animal Kingdom, Samson and Delilah, Beneath Hil 60, Bran Nue Dae and Mother Fish will screen at the 41st International Film Festival of India in Goa next month.
“We hope that Australia, through its cinema, would find a platform in India for bridging the people of two nations,” said IFF director and curator Shankar Mohan.
“It is thrilling to have our film screening in front of an audience who share such a strong connection to music, dance and their cultural value in everyday life. I believe that India is the centre of the globe and can’t wait to experience our film in front of the home of the world’s leading force in dance and music filmmaking,’ said Bran Nue Dae producer Robyn Kershaw.
Kershaw, along with filmmakers Jeremy Sims, Bill Leimbach and David Michod have all been invited to introduce their films to local audiences.
New Zealand films Boy and Home by Christmas have also been selected for IFFI.
IFFI will be held from November 22 to December 2.
Will Aussie movie ” Bad Behaviour ” which won six awards at MUFF be shown in India as well ? . A lot of my family, friends and other contacts in India who read a lot about this particular Aussie movie ” Bad Behaviour ” through google are asking this question as well. I have seen this movie myself at the MUFF and it is a Tarintino style well done movie and a fantastic one at that.
