OzHarvest launches crowd-funding campaign for new project
Not-for-profit organisation OzHarvest has launched a crowd funding campaign to raise funds for a program to train disadvantaged youth in the hospitality and food industry.
The Nourish Project campaign, hosted by the Chuffed platform, aims to raise $80,000 for commercial kitchen equipment, which celebrity chef and OzHarvest ambassador Matt Moran says will help young people who have fallen through the cracks.
Moran said: “All young people should have access to the great opportunities life has to offer. What I love about Nourish is that it takes disadvantaged youth and provides them with an opportunity to do something great and get some valuable skills.”
Communications agency Liquid Ideas has provided pro bono PR for the campaign.
