PANPA ad awards finalists 2013 announced

The PANPA ad awards finalists for 2013  have been announced.

The announcement: 

The Newspaper Works today announced the finalists for the 2013 PANPA Ad Awards for in-house excellence in advertising execution and sales.

The judging panel, which comprised of members from the media and marketing industries have selected over 100 finalists.

The 2013 PANPA Ad Awards celebrations will be part of the annual two-day Future Forum on 28-29 August, which, as in previous years will also incorporate the PANPA Newspaper of the Year Awards.

The change in the agenda to align the Ad Awards with the Newspaper of the Year Awards at the Future Forum was made to encourage a total industry celebration of excellence, with the event set to deliver world-class insights through speakers, workshops and bootcamps.

The chief executive of The Newspaper Works, Mark Hollands, praised the quality of this year’s Ad Award entries.

“We continue to see rising standards in regional publishing, which is very encouraging.

“The industry has again taken in part in large numbers, and it is very encouraging to see a broad range of different newspapers and executives being nominated as finalists this year.”

Mr Hollands said that The Newspaper Works had this year responded to increasing calls for an awards ceremony for the PANPA Ad Awards.

“It will be great for the industry to come together for the Ad Awards presentation as part of the Future Forum next month,” he said.

Mr Hollands also thanked paper supplier Oceanic Paper which is the sponsor of this year’s Ad Awards.

“We’re delighted to welcome Oceanic as sponsor of the Ad Awards this year,” he said.

The 2013 Ad Award winners will be announced on August 28 at a special event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.
