Paper + Spark healthcare team grows with two new employees

Marketing and communications agency Paper + Spark is adding two new employees – Joseph Ting and Andrea Lobos – to its healthcare team.

The announcement:

Paper + Spark, an independent full-service communications and marketing agency, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new key staff members to further strengthen our growing healthcare team, Andrea Lobos and Joseph Ting.

Zeina Khodr, managing director and chief spark at Paper + Spark said, “Over the past five years, Paper + Spark has specialised in developing and implementing creative, strategic and technology-focused solutions across our client portfolio. With our healthcare division in particular continuing to see strong client growth, we recognised the need to build upon our current team structure.”

Andrea (Andy) takes on the role of client partner. With over a decade of expertise in healthcare, advertising, and medical education, Andy has a demonstrated history in orchestrating strategic and complex medical education projects and advertising campaigns aimed at healthcare professionals, allied health staff, advocacy groups, and patients.

“Andy will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing marketing and comms strategies within our healthcare portfolio to enhance brand visibility and drive further business growth in this sector for us,” stated Zeina.

‘’I’m excited and honoured to have joined Paper + Spark and to be part of this unique and talented team. P+S is a rare agency that offers a unique blend of skills across healthcare and the finance sector. It enables cross pollination of learnings, innovation in digital and tech from leaders in the field,” Andy said.

Joseph (JJ) Ting has taken on the role of senior account executive. With a science background and a degree in Biomedical Science, Joseph was born and raised in Hong Kong, studied in the UK to achieve his A-level and Bachelor degree and then moved to Australia in 2022. Joseph brings to the team a wealth of expertise in account management, complemented by his exceptional proficiency in medical communications.

Zeina Khodr, “JJ’s ability to convey complex medical information with clarity and precision is an invaluable asset to the business, ensuring effective communication within the healthcare industry and enhancing our overall client services offering. We’re delighted to have him as part of our team.”

JJ said, “I’m relishing my new role, with its deeper interactions with both my team and clients, as we collaboratively produce essential materials. I’m also looking forward to exploring the creative dimensions of the consumer side of our business”.

Paper + Spark has had a range of compelling client wins over 2023. As well as a new partnership with a leading pharmaceutical company to launch two innovative campaigns aimed at raising awareness, educating the public and integrating with healthtech partner RoseRx in sun damage and obesity, wins have included clients in the insurance, finance, energy and disability sectors.

Paper + Spark celebrated their fifth birthday just last month. As the founding spark, Zeina noted “Five years has honestly passed in a flash! It can be a long and hard slog to start a business but igniting the flame to spark an idea into an independent creative marketing and comms agency has honestly been one of the best business decisions I’ve ever made.

“I’m immensely grateful for all the clients who took a chance with an unknown independent in the early days and handed over their strategy, creative, comms, digital, content and performance to tell their brand stories. And many of which are still with us today!”
