Paramedics tops the demos and helps Nine to a Thursday night win

Nine’s 8.30pm showing of reality TV show Paramedics helped the station to a Thursday night win in the TV ratings.

The show achieved 720,000 metro viewers and topped the key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54, according to OzTam’s overnight ratings.

Despite Nine winning the overall share for the night, Seven had the most-watched show with its evening news attracting 951,000 viewers.

Nine’s main channel won the largest share of audience, with 21.6%, and 31.7% on a network level.

In contrast, Seven achieved a 18.8% main channel share along with a 28.5% network share.

ABC beat Ten on a main channel and network share level, after the national broadcaster’s news show pulled in 639,000 viewers and Grand Designs Australia attracted 489,000.

Ten’s most-watched show was The Project, with 391,000 metro viewers, while its news show attracted 347,000 viewers.

ABC attracted a 12.5% share of audience for its main channel, while Ten managed 8.8%.

None of SBS’ shows made the top 20, which was reflected in its 4.5% main channel share.
