Patrick Elligett steps down as deputy editor and news director of The New Daily
After three years, Patrick Elligett, director of news, deputy editor and EDM editor of The New Daily has stepped down.
Elligett joined The New Daily after almost a year as editor of the Sunraysia Daily in Victoria, and has also held roles at the Elliott Newspaper Group and the Rural Press.
While he will continue to work with The New Daily on a freelance and consulting basis, he has joined La Trobe University as a subject co-ordinator, covering online journalism.
Earlier this year, the online news site appointed Stephen Leeds as its new commercial director.
