Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 pulls $1.5m in opening weekend but Fast and Furious 7 tops takings

The sequel to comedy Paul Blart: Mall Cop claimed fourth place on the weekend box office rankings after pulling in $1.532m across 207 screens in its opening weekend as Fast and Furious 7 continues to dominate grabbing $4.381m across 407 screens.

Paul Walker’s final film and the latest in the Fast and the Furious franchise has made a total of $37.612m since it premiered three weekends ago.

Disney’s Cinderella continued to hold onto its second place, taking in $2.067m with Dreamworks’ Home mainting its third ranking making $1.947m in tickets over the weekend.
