In the new role, Coles will be working alongside the founders and joins as part of the agency’s local and international growth agenda.

On the move, Coles said: “I’m incredibly sad to leave my good friends at BMF – an agency with a big heart and bigger ideas. But the chance to become co-owner in DO was a chance to build something brilliant with a bunch of smart people, leave a legacy and do some good along the way.”

BMF CEO Stephen McArdle said: “The team at DO Agency are lucky to have Paul leading the charge. In his four years at BMF Paul made a great difference not just to our clients, but to our people and our culture. We wish him nothing but the best in his new adventure.

“We’re incredibly lucky to have some outstanding talent in the business and we will be announcing two new GMs early next week.”

DO launched back in 2017 by the former group managing director of Y&R Sydney Andrew Dowling, former creative director of Iris Worldwide Amsterdam Tom Ormes and the founder of The Local in Singapore Kirsten Ackland.

DO key clients include MG, Hino, Best & Less, NSW Government, Caesarstone, McPhersons and Arlo – with a remit spanning both local and regional markets, including New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan.
