Pay TV sales house Multi Channel Network has today launched in-house production company Multiply to create content for clients and announced Paul MacGregor as its general manager.

According to Multiply, its offering includes “the production of bespoke long-form content, branded entertainment, TVCs, interstitials, consumer promotions, stingers, billboards, banner ads, micro sites and other online rich content”

Brands that Multiply has worked with already include ads for Cadbury; TV Winners promotions for Walt Disney Studios and Paramount Pictures and interstitials for Nintendo.

Damian Keogh, MCN’s head of sales and marketing said: “MCN has a long history of creating compelling content for our advertisers and the creation of Multiply is a natural evolution. MCN can now offer clients complete creative and production facilities.”

Paul MacGregor MultiplyMacGregor – who is also the author of youth marketing blog Three Billion – will head up the new company, in the role of Multiply General Manager.

“Paul MacGregor has an ideal background to head up this new entity,” said Keogh. “He understands how great creative must be entertaining, engaging and ultimately sell the products or services they feature.”

MacGregor said, “Multiply is built on the foundation of ‘produce once, publish often’. The next few years of MCN will be incredibly exciting with the growth of the STV market, the introduction of new interactive advertising platforms, the proliferation of online video across our sites, mobile advertising, and more branded entertainment opportunities creating adventurous ways for brands to interact with viewers – on their terms.

“It is becoming more important for media companies to offer creative solutions to clients.”

MacGregor was previously MCN’s GM of strategic integration.
