Paul Murray signs three year deal for Sky News
Sky News has signed presenter Paul Murray to a three year deal which will see him present an expanded version of his four-nights-a-week show for the next three years.
Paul Murray Live, currently 45 minutes long, will run for an hour from 9pm Monday to Thursday.
Murray also co-presents the drivetime show on Austereo’s Triple M Sydney from Tuesday to Thursday.
Sky News announced it has signed “an exclusive three year agreement”.
I mean really, does anyone actually watch this program?
The amount of self-important C-Grade celebs tweeting that they’re going to be on this show is hilarious.
What are the actual ratings?

Unbelievable. Single-handedly the most boring, naff individual EVER. He ruined the she-bang, has a string of pointless radio programs and a show no-one even knows about, and he is rewarded like this?!
Makes you wonder what is going on in media these days. Are we really that hard up for talent?!

He gave some interesting insight into his time on the Shebang. He was diplomatic, but reading between the lines, my impression was that he was doing what he was asked to do by the station management.

I like how he mentions at the start of every show “join the debate on Twitter with the hashtag #pmlive” and then completely ignores any and all Twitter feedback in every show.

– Had a listen to the podcast, and I do have a better appreciation of Paul’s time on the she-bang, and with this new insight I have to agree with you, he had a tough time of it. And that doesn’t seem like it’s entirely his fault, so I’ll take that one on the chin.
That said, I stand by my initial comments that I don’t find Paul a great personality for either radio or TV, and I do think we can do better. My main gripe with him has always been that he just try’s way too hard…but hey that’s just my 2c!
But can’t fault his passion, and obviously his bosses think he’s OK.

Whilst I/we like the show we’d be pleased to hear better English expression from many on the show – particularly from Joe.. For example why do so many keep repeating the words “You know”? It relly suggests they are bordering on the illiterate!
As well Paul please drop “turn around” from your vocabulary.
