Paul Walker’s final Fast and Furious makes $14.62m at box office over long weekend

Fast and Furious 7 has dominated the weekend box office, pulling in a staggering $14.62m across 507 screens in its opening weekend.

The seventh movie in the blockbuster series was in production when star Paul Walker was killed in a car crash during a break in filming in November 2013.

It easily trumped last week’s number one Cinderella which grabbed $3.15m over the long weekend to take its total Australian-box office takings to $9.706m.
