PEDESTRIAN.TV’S SELF-CARE FESTIVAL GOES NATIONAL AFTER SELL-OUT INAUGURAL YEAR

After the success of PEDESTRIAN.TV’s inaugural self-care festival Selfish Weekend, held in Sydney in March 2019, Pedestrian Group – Australia’s largest youth-focused publisher – has announced it’s expanding the event to Melbourne in 2020.

Selfish Saturday, presented with return Gold Partner The House of Angostura, will bring sex positivity, career and mental health advice to 1,500 Melbourne ticket holders on February 22, educating them on everything from manifestation to sustainability in a relaxed forum.

The single-day event will be held at Port Melbourne’s The Timber Yard and play host to a jampacked day of activations and keynote speaker sessions.

The first lineup includes:

● A Guide to Mindful Boozing with The House of Angostura
● The Sex Ed You Will Thank Us For with Chantelle Otten
● What’s Good for The Scroll Ain’t Good For The Soul with Alex Hayes and Batyr
● Sustainability, But Hold The Hypocrisy with Laura Wells
● A Simple Guide To Manifesting with Flex Mami
● The Big Gay Debate, a heated and hilarious battle of gender by a panel of
diverse Melbourne comedians
● Meet Melbourne’s Movers & Money-Makers with Jenni Ryall, Head of Editorial of
Business Insider Australia
● Havin’ A Laff with comedy duo Double Denim

James McManus, Pedestrian Group’s Creative Director, says: “We’re stoked to bring the major success of our Selfish celebrations to a fresh market and continue to practice what we always preach on PEDESTRIAN.TV – a no barriers approach to looking after yourself.”

PEDESTRIAN.TV will announce the final line-up and timetable of live music acts in early 2020, supported by category partners Jose Cuervo Tequila, Batyr, Sportsgirl and more.

To celebrate the launch of Selfish Saturday, The House of Angostura is giving away 20 double passes this week. More information, plus tickets, can be found on the Selfish Saturday microsite: pedestrian.tv/selfish.
