This is Mumbrella’s wrap-up of the latest people moves in media and marketing.

Award-winning Antill joins JWT Melbourne as ECD

J Walter Thompson Melbourne has announced the appointment of internationally acclaimed creative, Kieran Antill as executive creative director, with longstanding incumbent Richard Muntz moving to the Blue Hive, which works exclusively for Ford.

Antill will join the management team responsible for leading J. Walter Thompson Melbourne’s 115-strong office, having recently returned from a stint in the US where he was ECD of Leo Burnett New York.

Prior to that, he was at Leo’s Sydney, where he and partner Michael Canning (who recently joined M&C Saatchi as ECD) became the most awarded creative team in Australia, and where Antill was ranked the number one art director worldwide at Cannes.

Managing director, Michael Godwin says the appointment of Antill is a clear expression of the agency’s creative ambition.

“Kieran joins us at an exciting time of positive change with new business wins, new hires across all departments and a range of new capabilities,” said Godwin. “To have someone with Kieran’s boundless energy, his passion for creativity in all its forms and his belief in its ability to solve business problems is a real coup for us.”

Mediacom’s Andrew Littlewood heads to US

Mediacom has announced the promotion of Andrew Littlewood, currently chief data & ROI officer, as head of knowledge of North America. With over 14 years of industry experience, Littlewood started his career with MediaCom and worked on of the largest direct response accounts in the UK, the RBS Group.

Since he joined Mediacom Australia four years ago, Littlewood has successfully established the agency’s business science team.

From launch Littlewood grew the division to an area with nine staff and the team now offers econometric and analytical consultancy to around 40% of billings. The team includes two members with PhD’s and an assortment of analytical and data science skill sets.

Littlewood’s role will be taken over by Juan Franco, currently national head of business science.

Since Franco joined MediaCom four years ago, he has developed an array of marketing effectiveness programmes for Westpac, Bayer, P&G, Revlon and P&O.

He has also pioneered new techniques in allocation of web response to media and in digital attribution.

Urban completes team ahead of 2016 evolution

Experience Agency, Urban is thrilled to announce the appointment of multi-award winning strategy and planning director, Jonas Katzellenbourg.

The arrival of Katzellenbourg marks the completion of a restructure ahead of an evolution for the agency early in 2016.

Jonas is a senior business leader with over a decade of experience in the digital, brand and CRM spaces.

He was worked in Australia, America and Europe for agencies and brands including Ogilvy & Mather, Lavender, Louis-Vuitton and Moet-Hennessey.

Jonas while working for these brands and agencies has been able to achieve both commercial and creative results, inclusive of two Silver Cannes Lions.

Stan names Melanie Novacan to new marketing role

Nine’s streaming service Stan has appointed Melanie Novacan to the newly created role of marketing director.

Novacan joins Stan from CommSec where she was senior manager for brand, acquisition, sponsorship and cross sell.

She boasts extensive customer acquisition and retention experience and has held senior marketing positions across brand, acquisition, product management, CRM and sponsorships in numerous organisations.

“Melanie’s depth of experience in brand and acquisition marketing will be a core factor in evolving Stan’s marketing strategy as our business and brand reaches more and more Australians. Melanie has a unique set of skills and experience gained across multiple industries that are central to our plans for growth,” said Mike Sneesby, Stan CEO.
