People’s Choice extends sponsorship with Western Bulldogs

Credit union company People’s Choice has announced it will extend its sponsorship of AFL team Western Bulldogs for the fifth consecutive year.

The announcement:

People’s Choice is very pleased to announce it is continuing its relationship with the Western Bulldogs – signing on as a Platinum Partner of the AFL club for the fifth consecutive year.

“We’re very happy to sign on again as a Platinum Partner for the 2021 season,” said People’s Choice CEO, Steve Laidlaw.

“We first joined forces with the Bulldogs in 2017 and it has been a positive relationship since day one. This is a great club which is very much aligned with our commitment to supporting local communities,” he said.

“We worked together constructively last year through all the challenges presented by COVID-19, and we’re looking forward to another positive year, for both parties, on and off the field.”

The western regions of Melbourne are a key growth area for People’s Choice, so the relationship with the Western Bulldogs and affiliated VFL team, Footscray, provides a unique opportunity to raise its profile in what is a highly competitive market.

“People’s Choice serves members across Australia, so to be associated with the Bulldogs, a storied team in a national competition, helps us build recognition – not just in Victoria – but from one side of Australia to the other,” Mr Laidlaw said.

“After being back in the finals for the past two years and picking up some great new players, we’re really looking forward to seeing the Bulldogs go deep into September,” Mr Laidlaw said.

“And if we could repeat 2016 – well, that would be the dream result, wouldn’t it?”

People’s Choice is one of Australia’s largest credit unions with more than 385,000 members, $9.5 billion in total assets and almost 1,000 employees across the country.
