Perth radio ratings: Mix94.5 remains number one with little movement in market
Perth’s Mix 94.5 has continued its number one station supremacy with an audience share of 14.9 per cent, an increase of 0.8 share points from the last ratings period, according to numbers from new provider Gfk.
The Southern Cross Austereo owned station continues to pull ahead of its closest rival Nova Entertainment Group’s Nova 93.7 which held an audience share of 12.0 per cent.
Mix94.5’s new breakfast team Clairsy, Shane and Kymba managed to hold onto the station’s title of number one breakfast show, with its audience falling slightly from 13.7 per cent share to 13.5 per cent share. The team moved to the breakfast slot on October 28 having hosted drive previously.
Nova93.7′s breakfast team managed to stay as Perth’s second favourite FM breakfast programme with an audience share of 11.5 per cent.
ABC720′s breakfast with Eoin Cameron continues to dominate the breakfast time slot with an audience share of 15.5 per cent.
In the drive time slot, Southern Cross Austero’s Mix94.5 drive show with Fred and Lisa closed the gap on Nova’s national Kate, Tim and Marty drive show with an audience share of 14.1 per cent compared to Nova’s 14.2 per cent share. Kate Richie replaced Meshel Laurie in the drive team who left to co-host a breakfast program in Melbourne.
How can you report that MIX’s Shane and Kymba be the number one breakfast show (13.5%) when Eoin and Slim have ratings in the same time slot of 15.5% on the ABC?
It should read:
720 Eoin and Slim -number one (again………)
MIX second and then
NOVA third.

isn’t Mix 94.5 and ARN asset? 92.9 is SCA’s station for Perth…
