Pizza Hut is promoting its Doritos Crunch Crust Pizza, which saw the fast-food brand partner with the PepsiCo brand, with an ad pastiching Apple product launches.
The spot, one of the last from M&C Saatchi, features a man in a black t-shirt speaking to an audience about the new development in crusts in a parody of Apple’s Steve Jobs.
Pizza Hut Australia head of marketing and innovation Fatima Syed said: “We’re so excited to launch the Doritos Crunchy Crust Pizza. It’s the kind of pizza that needs to not only be eaten, but heard to be believed. As you bite into the crust you’ll be blown away by the crunch. It’s not only seriously loud, but delicious.”

Complementing the TV spot is a social media push which sees consumers who creatively share their experience online after tasting the new pizza and who use the hashtage #pizzahutcrunch go in the running to win a free pizza.
The campaign is also running across pre-roll and radio.
Last month Pizza Hut awarded its creative account to Host following a pitch which saw incumbent M&C Saatchi decline to be involved.
