PlayStation Australia pits NSW and QLD head-to-head in Gran Turismo 7 campaign via Poem

NSW Blues and QLD Maroons State Captains, James Tedesco and Daly Cherry-Evans, swap out the footy field for a night on the track and the PS5. Watch them go head-to-head in a GT7 and real-life time trial and see who comes out on top.

To support the recent release of Gran Turismo 7 PlayStation Australia has pitted NRL superstars and State captains, James Tedesco (NSW) and Daly Cherry-Evans (QLD), against one another virtually and on a real track to see which state can set the pace.

Leaning into the authenticity of car culture from Gran Turismo 7 and the competitive spirit of Aussies, PlayStation Australia gave the the two sporting stars the chance to go head-to-head in a time-trial race, first playing Gran Turismo 7 on the PlayStation 5, and then jumping into a real a Lamborghini Huracán STO on a track IRL to set their best time and compare the experiences.

Gran Turismo 7 is the latest addition to the famed franchise’s 25-year history and brings together the very best features of the real driving simulator whilst celebrating the deep passion felt around the world for automobiles.

“Gran Turismo 7 is the ultimate celebration of car culture. From racers to photographers to collectors, there is something for every car fanatic”, said Patrick Lagana, director of marketing, PlayStation Australia.

He added: “We’re stoked that PlayStation was able to bring this celebration into the real world with a distinctly Aussie twist. James and Daly perfectly embodied the competitive spirit of Australia and Gran
Turismo 7, and reflect the competitive play between mates across the country when playing the game”.

Various content formats will be running across YouTube, Facebook and Instagram and also supported by PR and paid boosting by MediaCom.
