Plus7 shows 14% month on month increase in unique audience

Nielsen’s April results have reported 14% month on month increase in unique audience for Yahoo7’s PLUS7 app.

The announcement:

April Nielsen results show a healthy month on month growth for Yahoo7’s PLUS7 app, with an increase of 14% in unique audience, cementing its position as the number one commercial, free to air AVOD destination.

These results are a tandem success with the huge growth also being achieved across IPTV, with April 2017 seeing these platforms contribute a quarter of total PLUS7 stream volume, an increase of 33% year on year (YoY). Specific investments in key platforms are also delivering dividends, with Apple TV more than tripling growth and Playstation and Telstra TV both showing strong double-digit uplifts (Yahoo7 internal analytics).

Ed Harrison, Yahoo7 CEO, commented: “We are extremely pleased with the latest Nielsen results and our success across IPTV. They both reaffirm the innovative investments we continue to make across all our platforms, especially those tapping into the growing audience appetite for high quality content on larger screen formats. Our continually dominant market rankings are a testament to this.”
