PR agency Agent 99 re-signs major clients and announces new wins

Communications agency, Agent 99, has announced a list of client wins including the re-singing of home shopping network TVSN and board game maker, Winning Moves.

Zen Imports has also expanded its relationship with the agency, tasking Agent 99 with heading up its New Zealand PR operations.

David Yates, managing director of Zen Imports, said Agent 99 survived COVID-19 cost-cutting measure due to its crucial guidance in the pandemic.

“As almost all business owners did during COVID-19, we analysed ways to save finances and one of the areas we refused to cut was PR support from Agent 99,” he said.

“Navigating the pandemic with Agent 99’s guidance made the whole scenario easier and the team helped us to find ways to pivot and readjust focus to stay relevant. It was only natural that they were our ongoing agency of choice as we extend our PR efforts into New Zealand.”

Agent 99 founder, Sharon Zeev Poole, said adapting the service offering and providing support to long term clients pulled the agency through lockdown.

“This period has been one of the most challenging I have ever encountered as a business owner. Thankfully, our team has been highly focussed and has worked really hard to ensure our long-term clients felt supported. They have also seized every possible opportunity to grow and extend their marketing skills, which I’m really proud of,” she said.

“As we hustled, fought and pushed ourselves to our creative limits, I am grateful that we are now seeing the fruits with clients returning, as well as welcoming some incredible new brands into our portfolio.”

TVSN first appointed Agent 99 to its PR account last year. The agency has been working with Winning Moves since 2017.

Also joining the agency’s client list on a long-term relationship is Tribe Breweries. Continuing the expansion of the agency’s beverage client list, Agent 99 also won a competitive pitch for Cape Byron Distillery, the manufacturer of Brookie’s Gin, and will be rolling out a summer campaign for Think Spirits’ Pampelle.

Agent 99 will also be working with the Warrior Woman’s Foundation on a pro-bono basis ahead of National Child Protection Week.

As part of its publicity arm, Agent 99 is now also representing ‘Money Masters’ host, Vanessa Stoykov, and behavioural economist Phil Slade for the launch of his new book, ‘Going Ape Sh*t’.
